Hessing Wins Two Races at Irwindale Speedway
Canyon Country’s David Hessing won both ends of the Southern California Auto Club Late Model Twin 40-lap main events Saturday night in front of a near-capacity crowd of 5,952 at Irwindale Speedway.
In the first race, Hessing easily held off Agoura Hills’ Tim Huddleston for his second win of the season, vaulting into second place behind current Late Model point leader Deryk Ward.
In the second race, Hessing held off a late surge from Mike Price for the win. Huddleston finished third, followed by Todd Burns and Ward in fifth.
In the American Race Truck main event, West Covina’s Val Cummings got his first win at Irwindale.
