Brown will have many reasons to remember Wednesday as an important day in his life.
After dealing with the usual postgame strategy questions, he casually informed the assembled reporters he had become a grandfather--although he had been so focused on the game he had few details.
“By the way, my daughter had a little girl today,” he said. “How about that?”
The 76ers said after the game guard Aaron McKie suffered a chip fracture in his right ankle but is expected to play in Game 2 Friday. He played 51 minutes Wednesday and scored nine points.
