San Diego ended Seattle’s 15-game winning streak--the longest in the American League since 1991--getting three runs batted in from Rickey Henderson in a 6-3 victory over the Mariners at Seattle on Saturday night.

Seattle’s streak was the longest in the majors since Atlanta won 15 in a row last season and the best in the AL since the 1991 Minnesota Twins won 15 in a row. The AL record is 19, set by the Chicago White Sox in 1906 and tied by the New York Yankees in 1947.

The Mariners remain tied with the 1907 Chicago Cubs and 1939 Yankees for the second-best record after 60 games at 47-13.
