Police Offer Class on Child Drug Abuse
The Police Department will sponsor a drug awareness class to educate parents about symptoms of drug and alcohol abuse by children and other issues related to early stages of drug use.
Topics will include how to tell if a child is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, stages of drug use, where and how teens get drugs, and suggestions for parents on how to gain control.
The three-hour class, taught by detectives, will begin at 6 p.m. June 28 at police headquarters, 870 Santa Barbara Ave. Information and registration: (949) 644-3776.
