Bikowski’s Homer Wins Game for California

Scott Bikowski’s two-run home run in the seventh inning lifted the California League all-stars over their Carolina League counterparts, 7-5, Tuesday night before 3,737 at Lancaster Municipal Stadium.
Bikowski, a left-handed outfielder from the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, smashed a fastball from right-hander Trey Hodges of Myrtle Beach over the 350-foot sign in right field to break a 5-5 tie.
Matt LaCour, an assistant coach at Chatsworth High the last four years, has been selected coach at El Camino Real.
