Lavin was unusually penitent and candid Thursday night after the Cal game when talking about the sideline behavior in the Oregon State game that landed him on Pac-10 probation. Against Cal, he had been necessarily reserved along the sideline, but he said that that wasn’t only because he feared for further penalties.
“I crossed the line at Oregon State,” he said. “I watched the film of myself and I was embarrassed. I think I have learned a very important lesson from this.”
