Just a few comments on The Times’ article concerning the Raiders-vs.-NFL court case:

“If there remains a Raider fan base in L.A. . . . “ As long as we have prisons in L.A. there will be a fan base.

“The NFL’s destroying L.A.’s opportunity to have a privately financed stadium,” per Al Davis. Translation, “Now I’ve got to find another group of suckers to build me a stadium so I can come back.”

About the jurors seeing Al Davis’ Super Bowl ring. Wait until he starts showing them tricks like digging a hole and finding $10 million in cash.

Tagliabue’s declaration that “[the NFL] owns the L.A. market.” Wow, did I miss the coronation ceremonies declaring him our emperor?
