Dropout Rate Rising in Williams-Williams
I was at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Thursday night expecting to see the Williams sisters play in the semifinals. That was before (a) Venus’ tendinitis suddenly flared up or (b) it was known that it was Serena’s turn to play in the final (take your pick).
On a higher level, this action impugns the integrity of the game in the eyes of the fans.
On a practical level, it means they took my money, but didn’t deliver the goods. Kind of seems like stealing.
