Kudos for the LAPD
The article on Gabriel Gaxiola was a breath of fresh air [“Policeman Should Investigate More Financial Goals,” Money Make-Over, March 6]. Not for the insight into financial planning, but rather for the human side that was portrayed of one of L.A.’s finest. It’s too bad the press, including The Times, only publishes news about the less than 1% who give the LAPD a bad reputation rather than the countless men and women who do their jobs with honor and class.
Your article showed a very human and insightful young man of whom we all should be proud. It’s too bad this can’t be done more often.
