Man and Woman Killed in Freeway Accident
A man and woman were killed early Saturday in Westminster when their speeding car struck the back of another car on the San Diego Freeway, crossed two lanes, flipped over a concrete median and crashed into a beam supporting an overpass.
The driver, identified only as a 27-year-old Tustin man, and his female passenger were traveling north at a high speed when their Lincoln Town Car hit the rear of a Nissan Sentra about 5 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
The names of the victims were withheld pending notification of family. No other injuries were immediately reported.
