Dog Owners Enter No Pleas in Woman’s Death
A couple charged in the mauling death of their neighbor did not enter pleas after a judge read the charges against them Wednesday, but a lawyer for one defendant challenged the indictment.
Marjorie Knoller, 45, and Robert Noel, 59, face charges of involuntary manslaughter and keeping a mischievous dog that killed a person in the Jan. 26 death of Diane Whipple.
Knoller appeared in court in a wheelchair because of an undisclosed medical condition.
Knoller and Noel had put off their arraignment four times before Wednesday’s hearing.
