“Everybody Loves Raymond” wraps up its fifth season with back-to-back shows airing at 9 and 9:30 p.m. First, Frank offers to paint Ray’s house, refusing to use the color he and Debra chose. Afterward, the Emmy-winning comedy caps the year with a traditional flashback episode, this one recalling the birth of their first child.

Fox counters with finales of “Boston Public,” featuring guest star Mandy Patinkin at 8 p.m., and “Ally McBeal” at 9 p.m. In the latter, Ally has a case that reminds her of the departed Larry.

Over at the WB, Lucy’s parents (Stephen Collins and Catherine Hicks) are stunned to hear about her engagement on “7th Heaven” at 8 p.m. At 9 p.m. on “Roswell,” Max and the other aliens struggle to say goodbye on what could be their last night on Earth.

Not to be outdone, NBC supplies the last original of “Third Watch” at 10 p.m. It was a first-rate season for the second-year drama, which focused less on natural catastrophes and more on the stormy relationships of its key characters. That said, the finale unites cops, firefighters and paramedics, who rush to the scene of a school shooting.

Earlier in the day, “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” celebrates its 1,000th show (3 p.m. KNBC).

Something for the kids: Dora and her best friend help a fallen star find its way back home on a prime-time episode of “Dora the Explorer” (8 p.m. Nickelodeon).

SPORTS

The Lakers and San Antonio Spurs meet in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals (5:30 p.m. KCAL).
