This year’s Reggae at the Greek bill stretches the boundaries slightly, adding the eclectic L.A. hip-hop outfit Jurassic 5 to the bill’s more traditional performers, headed by Barrington Levy and Morgan Heritage.

An earlier version of romance and war against the backdrop of Pearl Harbor can be seen this weekend in the 1951 film “From Here to Eternity” screening at the New Beverly Cinema as part of a Frank Sinatra double feature. Fred Zinnemann directed the adaptation of James Jones’ novel, and the film earned eight Oscars, including one for supporting actor Sinatra as the doomed soldier Maggio. Burt Lancaster, Deborah Kerr, Montgomery Clift, Donna Reed and Ernest Borgnine co-star. Completing the bill is John Frankenheimer’s 1962 political thriller “The Manchurian Candidate,” starring Sinatra as a Korean War vet trying to unravel a multiple-assassination scheme. Laurence Harvey, Janet Leigh and Angela Lansbury co-star.
