It’s not summer in Orange County until Jimmy Buffett brings his Parrothead party to Irvine. He’s getting a jump on the calendar with shows Saturday and Monday at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. Pack sunscreen and lots of water, and don’t forget that shaker of salt. Unfortunately, both concerts were sold out as of last weekend.
* Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band, Verizon Wirelesss Amphitheater, 8808 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine. 7 p.m. $29.75 to $67.75. (949) 855-6111.

Art
California’s landscape blooms in full color through the works of impressionist painters Edgar Payne, Granville Redmond and William Wendt. Their works are on display in “Masters of Landscape” at the Irvine Museum. Payne’s work encompasses the snow-capped peaks and ice-cold lakes of the Sierra Nevada; Redmond is known for majestic oaks at sunset and fields of poppies and lupines; and Wendt painted green meadows and valleys, ringed by oaks and sycamores.
* “Masters of Landscape,” Irvine Museum, 18881 Von Karman Ave., Suite 1250. Museum hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Free. Ends Sept. 15. (949) 476-2565.
