2 Youths Will Be Arraigned as Adults
Two teenagers accused of killing a 17-year-old youth outside Hoover High School in Glendale last year will be arraigned as adults next week, prosecutors said.
Rafael Gevorgyan, 16, and Anait Ano Msryan, 15, this week were declared unfit for trial as juveniles, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
Prosecutors allege that the boys and Karen Terteryan, 18, fatally beat and stabbed Raul Aguirre, a Hoover student, on May 5, 2000.
Terteryan is challenging the constitutionality of the state law that allows juveniles to be tried as adults for serious crimes.
