Hillside Preservation to Be Discussed
Oxnard attorney Richard Francis, a co-author of Ventura’s successful SOAR growth-control measure, will speak at the next Ventura Citizens for Hillside Preservation meeting Thursday.
Francis will discuss actions residents can take to preserve the 5,000 acres of rugged hillside bordering Ventura between City Hall and Kimball Road.
Land owners are proposing as many as 1,900 homes for the area, but a proposed ballot measure could block water, sewer and other urban services to the area.
The group’s meeting will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at St. Paul’s Church, Parish Hall, 3290 Loma Vista Road, in Ventura.
