From Times Staff Reports
The body of a man, wrapped in a blanket, bound with tape and left next to a trash bin, was found in an alley Tuesday, authorities said.
Trash disposal workers discovered the body at the Los Alamitos Business Park at Cerritos Avenue and Los Alamitos Boulevard about 6:30 a.m., said Police Capt. Todd Mattern.
“We do not know the cause of death. We are treating it as a homicide,” Mattern said.
The body bore no identification. Mattern said he believed that it was dumped in the alley Monday night.
