Trailing Cleveland by double digits and struggling to spark the offense, Charlotte’s Baron Davis decided to do something about it.

Davis scored 21 of his career-high 33 points in the fourth quarter, lifting the Hornets to a 100-94 season-opening victory over the Cavaliers on Wednesday night at Charlotte, N.C.

“As a point guard, you have to be able to get the guys going and you have to find ways to do it,” Davis said.
