Police Chase Leads to Crash; 6 Injured
Two men were arrested after a police chase late Thursday that ended in a four-vehicle accident that injured six people, police said.
Police were investigating a report of assault with a deadly weapon at Tiara Street and Lankershim Boulevard when two men, one armed with a large butcher knife, got into a pickup truck and fled, said Lt. Andy Neiman of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers chased the men to the intersection of Oxnard Street and Vineland Avenue, where the truck hit a red minivan that then crashed into two other cars. Four adults and two children were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Mike Moore, 30, and Gabriel Villegas, 27, both of Van Nuys, were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
