No Dinner Plan for Tonight? You May Still Have Time

Attention, procrastinators: Here are some last-minute Thanksgiving dinner options for you.

The House celebrates its first Thanksgiving. Chef Scooter Kanfer serves a meal of turkey with apple and bread stuffing, wild rice with cherries and pecans, caramelized yams with House-made marshmallows, vegetables, cranberry sauce, gravy and dessert. It’s available 4 to 8 p.m. Adults, $45; children under 12, $30.

Rockenwagner serves its Diestel turkey and sides family-style. You’ll get pretzel stuffing, haricots verts, mushroom ragout, sauteed Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce; you get to choose your own appetizer and dessert. The tab is $29.95 per head. Hours are 3:30 to 8:30 p.m.

For picky eaters in your gang, try one of the McCormick & Schmick’s restaurants. Today they all have ham entrees and turkey with trimmings, and some locations also have filet mignon and seafood options.

Prices range from $13.95 to $17.95 for the entrees. Most are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Kincaid’s Bay House also has fish and filet alternatives for those who don’t want the rotisserie turkey with apple-sausage stuffing (comes with potatoes, glazed vegetables, turkey jus and cranberry relish: $20.95). It’s open from 2 to 8 p.m. today.

Gigi Brasserie, located in the Hotel Sofitel Los Angeles, does Thanksgiving with French accents from noon to 6 p.m. On the buffet: roast turkey with chestnuts, honey-baked ham, duckling with peppercorn sauce, pumpkin soup, baby vegetables and pies. Adults, $40; children 11 and under, $20.

The Peninsula Grill and Cafe Pacific at Ocean Trails Golf Club joins forces to serve Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 8 p.m. The three-course meal is priced from $46.95 to $69.95, depending on whether you choose the Diestel turkey, maple-glazed pork chop, horseradish-crusted Chilean sea bass, prime rib or Kobe beef and lobster combo. A children’s menu is available for $18.95.

The Buggy Whip, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, does a traditional turkey dinner with dressing, whipped potatoes, candied yams, vegetables, cranberry sauce and cornbread for $14.95.

It’s served from noon until 9 p.m., or thereabouts.

The Renaissance Restaurant at the Manor Hotel begins dinner at 2 p.m. and takes it through to 10 p.m. The $25 tab ($15 for kids 5 to 11, free for under 5) gets you pumpkin ginger soup, cured salmon or marinated vegetables; entree choices such as turkey with chestnut stuffing, prime rib or vegetarian platter; and pumpkin, apple or pecan pie.

The Queen Mary, the historic ocean liner now permanently moored at the south end of the 710 freeway in Long Beach, has three dining venues aboard, all serving Thanksgiving meals today. The most formal, Sir Winston’s, has a four-course meal for $32 ($11.95 for children 4 to 11). Entree choices include turkey, beef tenderloin and duck breast.
