Hit-and-Run Motorist Kills Trash Truck Driver
A trash truck driver died Friday hours after being struck by a hit-and-run motorist in unincorporated South Los Angeles, authorities said.
Juan Ordaz Magana, 50, of Wilmington was hit by a white car at about 7:30 a.m. on 130th Street just east of Wilmington Avenue while he was walking between two parked cars, said California Highway Patrol Officer Spencer Ammons. The car’s driver fled, he said.
Magana died shortly after 3 p.m. at County-King/Drew Medical Center, Ammons said. Anyone with information is asked to call the CHP at (310) 516-3355.
