TODAY’S GAME
The line: Philadelphia by 3.
Story line: The underachieving Eagles are coming off a disappointing 13-3 loss to the resurgent Redskins. The Chiefs are already starting to look forward to next season.
Keys to the game: Inconsistent play from the wide receivers has led to a frustrating season for Chief quarterback Trent Green. Tight end Tony Gonzalez has been his only dangerous downfield target. While Coach Dick Vermeil loves the passing game, running back Priest Holmes banging up the middle is Kansas City’s best offensive weapon. The Eagle offense is sputtering; it has not ventured inside an opponent’s 20-yard line in the last six quarters. Philadelphia must improve its short-yardage game; it was 0 for 14 on third downs with fewer than three yards to go against Washington.

The pick: Philadelphia. Eagles are 4-0 on the road and Chiefs are 1-5 at Arrowhead Stadium, where they used to be tough to beat.
