Threat on Flight
Re “Fighter Jets Escort 767 Back to L.A.,” Sept. 28: Who will ever want to fly again? A disconsolate man momentarily disrupts a Canadian flight but is subdued and calmed down by flight attendants. Subsequently, the plane returns to the airport escorted by fighter jets. Shortly after landing, the plane is boarded through the rear entrance by armed airport police, who dash in and order terrified passengers to “Get your heads down,” while assaulting the man. Could the cure be worse than the disease?
