Plastic Knives Land Air Traveler in Custody
A Highland, Ill., man was in custody after trying to carry four hard-plastic knives hidden in his socks onto a plane at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, officials said.
Gary Kohrmann, 46, was arrested at the airport Wednesday and charged with attempting to carry a concealed dangerous weapon onto a plane, said Ed Hall, an FBI spokesman.
Public Defender Jeff Williams said Kohrmann was scared about last month’s attacks and was dealing with tragedies in his own life.
