From Times Staff Reports

The Federal Aviation Administration has imposed temporary flight restrictions around the Rose Bowl for Saturday’s football game between UCLA and Washington.

The restriction was requested for security purposes by the Pasadena Police Department, said Sgt. Tom Pederson. The restriction will prevent unauthorized aircraft from flying within three miles of the stadium at an altitude of less than 3,000 feet.

Pasadena police are also warning the public that there will be no drop-off or pickup of spectators Saturday at the Rose Bowl. In addition, those attending the game must park in designated areas or their vehicles will be towed, police said.

Fans are advised to use free shuttles or take carpools or van pools and to arrive early because those entering the stadium will be searched.
