Prayer Service Tonight to Honor Sept. 11 Heroes
A prayer service at the Civic Center tonight will be a tribute to the families, victims and heroes of the Sept. 11 attacks.
Organized by religious leaders of the Vietnamese, Korean, Christian and Arabic communities in Garden Grove, the event will feature music by the Shalom Women’s Chorus and local musician Robert Hackney, who will play “Amazing Grace” on the bagpipes.
The service, which will include a candle-lighting ceremony, begins at 7 p.m. in front of the city’s Public Safety Building, 11301 Acacia Parkway, near City Hall.
