From Times Wire Reports
Nine policemen and a civilian were killed when Maoist rebels fighting to establish one-party communist rule in Nepal attacked and destroyed a police post, a senior Home Affairs Ministry official said.
The fresh attacks in the insurgency-torn Himalayan kingdom occurred late Monday in Barpak in Gorkha district, about 90 miles northwest of the capital, Katmandu, said Devendra Raj Kandel, the minister of state for home affairs.
The rebels fled after the raid with the weapons they found, he said.
