Woman and Her Car Missing for 2 Weeks
Police were searching Thursday for a woman missing for two weeks.
Investigators said Mildred “Gayle” Barrett, 60, was last seen April 11 at her home on Meads Avenue in Orange Park Acres, where she lives with her husband, Richard.
Family members reported Barrett missing April 17. The relatives acted after Barrett failed to show up for several appointments and classes at Santiago Canyon College, said Jon Fleischman, spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Barrett’s car, a green 1996 Jeep Cherokee, is also missing, police said.
The Cherokee’s license plate number is 3STH532.
