Re “Time for a Pollution Solution,” April 21:
In June, the Orange County Sanitation District has to decide whether to ask for an extension of a waiver which allows the dumping of 240 million gallons of primary and secondary sewage into the ocean. Getting rid of the waiver is a no-brainer. More than 16,000 sanitation districts don’t have waivers. Our beaches are contaminated. The solution is go to full secondary treatment and get rid of the waiver.
