By surviving cancer and winning his fourth consecutive Tour de France, Lance Armstrong exhibited all the courage, style and class that was so deeply lacking in the conspicuous minority of sore-losing French who taunted Lance for drug use.
Thanks to Lance Armstrong’s performance, those people in France were in a familiar position: on the streets, greeting a conquering hero from another country.
