2 Charged in Gang Killing of Camarillo Man
Two Oxnard gang members have been charged in last month’s shooting death of Eric Robles, 18, of Camarillo and the wounding of two of his friends.
Heriberto Arevalo and Jose Centeno, both 18, whom police identified as known gang members, were charged with murder, shooting at an occupied vehicle and assault with an automatic weapon. There also is a special allegation that the crimes were committed to benefit a street gang. They are scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 20 and remain jailed in lieu of $1.5-million bail each.
Robles, a Camarillo gang member, was killed July 6 on Raemere Street as he and friends Julio Espinoza, 18, and Miguel Rocha, 19, also of Camarillo, entered a car. They were shot in an altercation with several men in two other cars.
An investigation of four other individuals is continuing.
