San Gabriel Valley Falls in Babe Ruth Semifinal

San Gabriel Valley fell, 3-2, to Tri-County, Texas, on Saturday in the semifinals of the Babe Ruth Baseball World Series (ages 16-18) in Stamford, Conn.
San Gabriel Valley won the National Division of pool play with victories over New York, 9-4; Texas, 8-6; Missouri, 11-1; and Stamford, 12-4.
El Segundo won its opening game of pool play Saturday in the Babe Ruth World Series (ages 13-15) in Connersville, Ind., with an 18-1 victory over Mifflin County, Pa. Sean McNally had four hits and drove in three runs and Austin Meick had two hits and three RBIs.
