Zach Thornton made seven saves for his seventh shutout of the season and Ante Razov scored the go-ahead goal Sunday night as the Chicago Fire beat the New England Revolution, 2-0, before 15,336 at Foxboro, Mass.

Razov scored in the 32nd minute off a long pass from Hristo Stoitchkov. The Fire (10-9-4) got their second goal in the 85th minute when New England defender Leo Cullen knocked the ball into his own net trying to defend a 2-on-1 breakaway. New England is 7-14-1.

Columbus 4, Kansas City 0--Jeff Cunningham and Edson Buddle each scored two goals before 8,364 at Kansas City. The win kept the Crew (10-10-4) even with the Chicago Fire at the top of the Eastern Conference. The Wizards (8-8-8) are last in the Western Conference.
