A Bond recount
Christopher Hennessey-DeRose’s “clarification” (Letters, Dec. 8) of my letter regarding the number of James Bond films was a repeat of the error made by the writer of the original article and only serves to strengthen my complaint. His clarification that only official MGM/UA movies should be counted continues to ignore the two other Bond movies.
Bond fans do not acknowledge this officiousness, regardless of the studio which makes the claim, and it is a pity that Hennessey-DeRose has some need to support it. Bond is Bond and 22 is 22, not 20, regardless of who makes what claims.
