Shooting Believed to Be Gang-Related

Oxnard police were searching Sunday for a gunman who shot a 19-year-old man in what was believed to be a gang-related incident.
Francisco Javier Gonzalez of Oxnard turned up at St. John’s Regional Medical Center about 8 p.m. Saturday with a gunshot wound to his chest. The wound was not life-threatening.
The shooting took place near Guava and N streets in south Oxnard. Police said Gonzalez refused to provide information about the shooting. An investigation is continuing.
