Girl, 13, Pleads Guilty in Gun-at-School Incident

A 13-year-old girl who took a gun to school and held her Chico Junior High class hostage has pleaded guilty to related charges, Butte County authorities said.
Police say the girl used the gun last week to hold her class hostage. Two students were able to get out and tell school officials. A school counselor persuaded the girl to hand over the gun.
