Architect Harold Bissner designed this Italian Revival estate for a physician and his wife in 1930, and now it has been restored, updated and put on the market as one of the highest-priced homes in Pasadena.
The price of nearly $7 million is quite a contrast with its initial building cost of $25,000, but that was a huge sum for a new home in Depression-era California.
About this house: Now that a team of artists, designers and craftsmen have completed their work, the house has updated features Bissner never imagined. Landry Design Group was the remodel architect.

Size: The house has seven bedroom suites in 7,684 square feet. The lot size is about 32,100 square feet.
Features: The master suite has two bathrooms and a fireplace, and there are two guest suites, two home offices, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a home theater and a gym with a steam shower, sauna and wet bar. There is also a cabana with a kitchen and three-quarter bathroom. The grounds have a 60-foot-long lap pool; a spa, a sports court and a large-scale model railway system manufactured by Lehmann-Gross-Bahn. There is also a basement and an elevator.
