Washington (12-8, 7-4) at UCLA (6-14, 3-9), 11, Fox Sports Net, KACD (850), KEWS (1350)--The Bruins ended their latest skid (five games) by beating Washington State on Friday. Freshman guard Brianna Winn gave another glimpse of her intriguing potential with a career-high 13 points, and UCLA also got a career-best 13 points from freshman center Sissy Pickett. While the Bruins are striving for some end-of-the-year respectability, the Huskies have another agenda. Washington is among the seven Pac-10 teams fighting for the 2-6 seedings in the conference tournament. It is also a homecoming weekend for former Orange County high school star Giuliana Mendiola, who equaled her career high (22 points) in Friday’s victory over USC.

Washington State (2-19, 0-11) at USC (11-10, 7-5), 2 p.m.--Both teams are coming off defeats, 16 in a row for Washington State after a 79-55 loss to UCLA on Thursday. The Cougars got 14 points from Francine McCurtain in that game, but usually are led by Brittney Hawks, who is ninth in the Pac-10 in scoring (13.8) and second in rebounding (9.8). The Trojans led Washington at halftime Thursday but fell, 69-63. Aisha Hollans averages 17.8 points, third-best in the conference.
