Oklahoma Stops Texas Tech

Stacey Dales scored 14 of her 17 points in the second half, leading fifth-ranked Oklahoma to a 75-56 victory over No. 15 Texas Tech in the regular-season finale Wednesday night at Norman, Okla.

The Sooners (24-3, 14-2 Big 12), winners of their third consecutive regular-season title, held Tech to a season-low 31% shooting and beat the Raiders for the fourth consecutive time. LaNeishea Caufield added 18 points for Oklahoma.

Natalie Ritchie led Tech (17-10, 8-8) with 18 points. Leading scorer Jia Perkins scored only eight, half her average, on four-of-19 shooting.

Dales, only one of four from the field with four turnovers in the first half, started the second half by scoring inside and then making a three-point shot to give the Sooners a 38-25 lead. She added a three-point play later as Oklahoma pushed the lead to 45-31.

No. 8 Baylor 95, No. 10 Iowa State 91--Sheila Lambert tied the score with a three-point play and fed Nicole Collins for a game-winning three-pointer with 7.2 seconds left at Ames, Iowa, as the Bears (24-4, 11-5 Big 12) beat the Cyclones (21-7, 9-7) for the 11th time in 12 games.

Lambert finished with 26 points, seven assists and five steals for Baylor. Iowa State got a career-high 36 points from Angie Welle, but did not score after Melanie Bremer’s three-pointer gave the Cyclones a 91-83 lead with 3:01 remaining.

No. 14 Kansas State 74, Missouri 55--Laurie Koehn scored 27 points at Manhattan, Kan., as the Wildcats (23-6, 11-5 Big 12) won their 11th in a row.

The Wildcats led by as many as 13 before Missouri (14-13, 5-11) cut it to six with 10:54 left. But Nicole Ohlde responded with four points to ignite a 7-0 run that put the Tigers away.

No. 20 Colorado State 84, Air Force 40--Katie Borton scored a career-high 21 points and added 10 rebounds at Fort Collins, Colo., as the Rams (22-5, 11-5 Mountain West) beat the Falcons (4-22, 0-13) for the 13th time in a row.

Colorado State exploited Air Force’s zone defense, making five three-pointers, in a 25-0 run to lead, 35-8.

Ashley Augspurger scored 12 points to become the 12th player in school history to reach 1,000 points for Colorado State. Latoya Howell had 11 points for the Falcons.
