Man Pleads Not Guilty in Forgery, Porn Case
An Oxnard man arrested on suspicion of forging a check to pay for a pizza, who was later found to have child pornography, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to several felonies, officials said.
Robert Dean Groom, 39, was arraigned on one count each of identity theft, forgery, possession of a counterfeit driver’s license and possession of child pornography. He remained jailed on $480,000 bail.
Groom is scheduled to return to court Jan. 24.
