Deputies Find Charred Body
A charred body was found Sunday in the trunk of a car in Palmdale, authorities said.
About 10 a.m., deputies on patrol found a burned car near Avenue M and 75th Street West, an area of open desert, Sgt. Ken Wright of the sheriff’s Palmdale station said.
The car may have been stolen, Wright said. When deputies opened the trunk, they found a body that had been burned so badly that identification could not immediately be made, Wright said.
The sheriff’s homicide unit is investigating the case.
