Twin Cities Delights

Share

Jerry Haines overlooked so much in his Minnesota article and devoted too much time to the skyways and stores (“Minneapolis’ Cold Comforts,” Jan. 13). He did not even mention the sister city of St. Paul--home to major corporations and great theater, including “A Prairie Home Companion.” He did not mention the renowned Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Symphony or the lakes, such as Calhoun in Minneapolis and Como Park in St. Paul, which have winter activities.

The Twin Cities are culturally and ethnically diverse and can no longer be narrowly viewed as Scandinavian.

On his next trip, I suggest that Haines become more adventuresome and cosmopolitan and go the nine miles into St. Paul.
