Irv Kaze Was One of the Truly Good Guys

My sincerest appreciation to Larry Stewart and The Times for giving the death of Irv Kaze such prominent coverage. I knew Irv Kaze for nearly 40 years, going back to when he was public relations director for the Angels. I have never heard anybody say a single bad thing about him, and I can’t say that about anyone else I know.

I recall asking Irv Kaze about two years ago if he thought L.A. would ever get an NFL team again. He said, “Not in my lifetime.” Unfortunately, he was right. He will be missed.
