Stockton District School
I was surprised to read that the Stockton Unified School District named a new school for President Bush (“Bush Gets His Name on Another Close Vote,” July 7). But after reading board member Clem Lee’s quote, “It might be premature to honor a sitting president. But it’s quite defensible. We’ve got schools in Stockton named after Cleveland, Harrison, Garfield, Tyler and Fillmore. These were truly mediocre presidents,” I realized that George W. would fit right in.
