Woman Lies on Freeway, Is Killed

From a Times Staff Writer
A woman who reportedly ran onto the Century Freeway and lay down in a traffic lane was struck and killed Wednesday night.
The California Highway Patrol said witnesses saw the woman run onto the right lane near the Hawthorne Boulevard offramp about 6 p.m., where two cars struck her. She was beheaded.
She has not been identified.
