Miramax Ends Brown’s Contract for $1 Million

Magazine editor Tina Brown is ending her business relationship with Miramax co-Chairman Harvey Weinstein and his partners for an estimated $1 million, the company said.

Brown, the former New Yorker editor, founded the defunct Talk magazine--a joint project of Miramax Films and the Hearst Corp.--amid much fanfare in 1999.

The magazine ceased publication after its February issue, citing the economy.
