From Times Wire Reports

Two British women became the first explorers to trek to both the North and South poles as part of all-female expeditions.

They reached the North Pole 81 days after departing from Ward Hunt Island in northern Canada, 750 miles away.

The pair also were part of an all-female group that trekked to the South Pole in 2000.

“We are on top of the world and it is a wonderful feeling,” said Caroline Hamilton, 35, a film financier from London. The other woman is Ann Daniels, a 37-year-old former banker and single mother of triplets from Devon.
