President Boondoggle
Re “Pork Politics Fuel a $40-Billion Energy Boondoggle,” Commentary, June 5: Excuse me--Jerry Taylor and Roger Berliner think that President Bush will even think about making sure that “the energy bill that emerges out of the upcoming conference committee does not contain this $40-billion taxpayer gift to a few at the expense of the rest of us”? This is the energy president. He is all for the big energy businesses and only cares about the environment in Florida. He certainly doesn’t care that the American taxpayer will pay for this boondoggle.
