Holtrust, Pederson Earn National Soccer Honors

Matt Holtrust, a forward at Santa Margarita High, and Marie Pederson, a defender at Palos Verdes Peninsula, have been selected to the West squad for the inaugural Powerade McDonald’s All-American high school gamesSaturday in Charleston, S.C.
Holtrust, who will attend California in the fall, and Pederson, who is headed to USC, were the only Southern California players selected by the National Soccer Coaches Assn. of America.
