C’mon, Take a Chance
In announcing the Ahmanson’s “been-there-done-that” season (“ ‘42nd St.,’ Lily Tomlin Set for Ahmanson,” by Don Shirley, June 5), Gordon Davidson suggested that “Urinetown” was better suited to a smaller theater. And Lily Tomlin’s one-person show isn’t?
Give that last unannounced slot--although the first show in the season--to something new, something home-grown, something maybe even a little risky in an Ahmanson season devoid of risk.
